“People have been asking me if I was going to have kids,
and I had puppies instead.”

Hi, I'm Misty!

I am so happy you found me, and are considering adopting one of our adorable Aussie puppies. Let me start by saying that I hate the term “breeder.” There is so much negative association with that word – all of which I am not. “Puppy Dream Maker” or "Furry Godmother" sound so much nicer :).

If you're like me, you LOVE dogs and appreciate how every puppy has its own distinctive personality and destiny.  Much like people, they're affected by nature and nurture; my goal is to give each puppy the greatest opportunity at having a long, happy, and healthy life - one that is filled with adventure, love, and purpose, and of course belly rubs!  All our precious Aussie pups are raised inside of our home, and exposed to day-to-day-activities that occur in a normal household.

It would be my pleasure to make your dream of owning a Toy or Mini Australian Shepherd puppy come true!

It's nice to meet you

I grew up in Michigan and have always been an animal lover. I worked at the Humane Society Vet Clinic for a few years and learned so much there and my love for all animals just grew stronger. As an adult, I took a weekend trip to NYC and fell in love with Manhattan. I came back to Michigan, turned in my two-week notice, sold most of my belongings, and 3 weeks later I was driving a U-Haul across country chasing my dreams…

I made a great life for myself in NYC. I made lifelong friendships, and met my amazing husband (we’ll get back to that). I lived there for 10 years and had the amazing opportunity to work for Stuart Parr Design/Cousins Entertainment. I was the Financial Controller for all merchandise for the musician/rapper Eminem. I also worked as the Operations Manager for The Loreen Arbus Foundation, which was a truly wonderful experience.

In 2011 I met my husband who was born and raised in Queens. A year later we found ourselves on the beach in Turks and Caicos saying our vows. He really wanted to leave the city and move to my home state, and us both being fortunate enough to have jobs that allowed us to work from home, I agreed, and we packed up and headed to Michigan. We bought a beautiful home on 10 acres and purchased our first Toy Aussie, Loki. We fell in love with him instantly and I immediately started to research the breed more in depth as it has always been a dream of mine to be a hobby breeder.

Over time, we realized that we had a great deal to offer the Toy Aussie world. As a result, we decided to breed, top quality Toy Australian Shepherds. We located a mentor dedicated to the same principles and ethics as ours, who helped us start breeding these amazing dogs.

I eventually made the hard decision to resign from my work-at-home job as our program grew so I could really put 100% into my dogs. My husband works from home as the Content Director for a media company. He is a tremendous help and a very big part of raising these babies. All of our dogs are considered to be part of our family. They live in our house, not a kennel. We have one 100 x 50 fenced in grassy area and a second one that is 50 x 50 that they love to spend hours running, playing, and jumping in and out of their kiddie pools! We spend a couple of hours per day with each puppy training and socializing them. They are pampered and 100% spoiled!  We fall in love with each and every one of them, so I am very careful to select safe, loving homes for my puppies.

I make myself available to all of my buyers and potential buyers at almost any time and offer lifetime support. Texting/Emailing will get you the quickest response. I have made friendships with most of my buyers who I am so appreciative that they send me regular updates. Just because a pup of ours goes to a new home doesn’t mean we forget about them. We think about them all the time and are so grateful whenever we hear from their new families.

I feel very blessed and I thank you for visiting my website and for considering adopting a Toy Aussie puppy from us. I post lots of photos and videos on my Toy Aussie Facebook & Instagram pages so please feel free to follow and join the fun!

I wish you the very best in your search!

Happy Trails & Wagging Tails,
